Music has always played an important role in the problem of migrant justice. The government can limit people’s behavior by those rules, but it is difficult for them to limit this kind of “cutural production”. Music is hard to restricted, and once it is been heard, it would spread quickly…

Kwon’s exploration of “the work of waiting” makes us think about the migration of the workers and their family who were left behind in their home countries. Due to those migration policy, these migrate workers had difficulties communicating with their families. The relationship between the family members due to the distance put them in dilemma. Kwon uses a few stories about those Chinese Korean workers to express his idea. Even though they made more money in the foreign languages, the policy of Korean government made it impossible to meet their family. The only communication between them wasthe money every month. They had no idea what happened to their family member in the foreign country. A map could points out the workers and their loved ones.

At the time, women were hard-working and were responsible for all the duties, but the men were lazy and did not contribute to the economy. The “wasteland” was impossible for them to cultivate and have enough resources to raise their children. That kind of condition was difficult for them to live and raise their children. Besides, lots of women lost their lives in the Battle of Okinawa to protect their rights and land. The United States took their land as military bases and expelled them from their land. The women in the same situation formed a community to help out each other, and the trauma in the past make them try their best to get the land back. However, due to their gender and the force, they faced a huge difficulty.

In my perspective, the creation of art, of music, of literature, which are known as “cultural production”, is essential to the development of a country. It is the representation of the country’s cultural deposits and also the inspiration of people’s ideas. These arts encourage people to fight against those foreign…

In my opinion, Kawashima insists on focusing on the suppresion of Korean workers in Japan by the Soaikai, which is a Korean welfare organization in Japn, is because the unfair treatments the Korean workers received in Japan. Their hardship is caused by not only the organization but also the police…

As mentioned in the 1919 Declaration of Independence, I think the main thing that prompted so many Koreans into direct action against the Japanese colonial rule is the inhuman suppression for a decade. In order to free themselves from the present hardships and ensure proper development of human dignity, many Koreans tried to reestablish their national independence. Koreans lost their fertile land and were forced into the low-waged work in the alien factories. Most of the factors were already mentioned in the March 1, 1919 Declaration of Independence, and they also blamed themselves. Shin expressed his grievance of Japan in his own paper. Speaking of myself, the pressure might prompt me into some actions. Besides, I have felt compelled to act in ways that surprise me.

According to Goffe’s article, we find that the sound/soundscape plays a crucial role of the communication of different groups in Jamaica. This kind of communication is not restricted to the polities but becomes a black and Chinese cultural production. Moreover, women’s labors and creativity also contributed during this process. The…

Liang Qichao and He Zhen developed their polities on China while they were away from the country. This is because when they were in a foreign country, they did not need to get used to those polities in China and got opportunities to see those problems from different points of…
