In my opinion, Kawashima insists on focusing on the suppresion of Korean workers in Japan by the Soaikai, which is a Korean welfare organization in Japn, is because the unfair treatments the Korean workers received in Japan. Their hardship is caused by not only the organization but also the police. The accumulation of tensions for almost 2 years made them try to against this kind of suprresion. A large amount of description of their tough conditions also conveyed this idea.
One of the questions his analysis raised is that whether there are some other factors caused the Korean workers to strike. Moreover, it is possible that some people in the union did not really want to attend the strike. The love story between Mr Kim and Matsuo Shina tells us the difficulty of the love from two different countries.
