Kwon’s exploration of “the work of waiting” makes us think about the migration of the workers and their family who were left behind in their home countries. Due to those migration policy, these migrate workers had difficulties communicating with their families. The relationship between the family members due to the distance put them in dilemma. Kwon uses a few stories about those Chinese Korean workers to express his idea. Even though they made more money in the foreign languages, the policy of Korean government made it impossible to meet their family. The only communication between them wasthe money every month. They had no idea what happened to their family member in the foreign country. A map could points out the workers and their loved ones.
